If you're anything like me, you have way too many passwords on way too many websites. Last year my husband got me a copy of 1Password. I love it. I stores all my passwords and other important info (credit card, etc) in an encrypted central location on my computer. Plus I can use it to generate secure passwords when needed.
It puts a button in the nav bar of your web browser (if you want it to) and will offer to store any password when you enter it the first time on a web page. It's completely separate from your keychain (but it can import your existing keychain) and more importantly can store multiple passwords for the same site (ie two people's DW login if its a shared computer).
The only drawback right now, is that with Snow Leopard the latest version (Version 2.9.31) is not totally compatible with Safari (you need to run 32 bit mode). The fully compatible version is currently being beta tested.
The program costs around $40 but was well worth it. They also make a version for the iPhone and Palm based smart phones.
