I had an unfortunate experience where my cat (then a kitten) walked across the iMac's keyboard and re-named the hard drive, and the home folder, and somehow deleted the contents of my desktop.

10.2x. I'm not quite sure what version exactly, but I still haven't figured out how my cat did that.

My cat regularly manages to open folders buried two and three deep in applications that were not all that accessible to begin with (Finder is obviously running, but I rarely have actual folders open in it, for example) and then insert fascinating typing.

(I'm running 10.7, but giving CatNip a try based on comments that suggest it might work anyway. Generally, I resort to the physical solution of closing the laptop, but that's sort of a pain in the neck.)
