For Media Capture, Audio Recorder, a lightweight and free app that records microphone input. Good for high quality recording (given a large enough scratch disc) for future editing.

Also WireTap Studio which can record audio from multiple sources including system sounds. US$69.

I think WireTap Studio & Audio Hijack Pro have basically the same features, yes?

I love me some Rogue Amoeba. I mentioned Fission under Audio Editors and Airfoil is great too. They also have some useful freebies.

I've never tried Audio Hijack Pro but they look similar, yes.
