If you have an HP printer, you may want to check the list of supported models again. Apple just released updated HP printer drivers for Snow Leopard, and my HP Deskjet, which was missing from the list before, is supported now.

My husband has jumped from 10.4 to 10.6 and is mostly up and running. I'm not ready to upgrade myself yet. Anyone else tried and had issues?

I upgraded my MacBook yesterday. So far, so good. The new Quicktime is really lovely. No issues so far. I haven't tried to print on my HP (that Apple gave me for free). I'm pretty sure that my model was always supported though.

Today I double upgrade my iMac, first to Tiger -> Leopard and Leopard -> Snow Leopard. This is where I expect problems. I fear I might lose my Photoshop (so I've got some work to do before the upgrade) and I'm going to have to get another SFTP client, it looks like. I'm also concerned about my iLife apps. I'm trying to find out if they run under Snow Leopard at all. I haven't bought the upgrade to iLife.

I've heard people haven't had to upgrade first to Leopard in order to install Snow Leopard. I've read this on Mac World, Small Dog's email list and a few other places.

I've read that. I think I'd feel more comfortable doing it in two steps, somehow. I might not take the iMac all the way to Snow Leopard today, actually.

I don't have iLife 08 and my Photoshop is old. I go with the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" school with apps, I don't upgrade unless there's something I need. Especially with Photoshop and its price tag.
